Decision-Making Decoded: Navigating Decision-Making Processes

Decision-making keeps organizations alive: no organization will survive without making decisions. Cultural norms and expected behaviors are established and change implicitly but certainly impact how and even which decisions are made in organizations.

This interactive session will spotlight methods of explicit decision-making. The way decisions are made will always have a mysterious part – an implicit and therefore not explicitly defined one. However, tackling decision-making in a structured manner & applying decision-making tools is like a muscle: the better it’s trained, the smoother we enter a decision-making process. This can significantly enhance your team’s dynamics, improving decision quality, alignment, and speed.

In ‘Decision-Making Decoded’, you’ll dive hands-on into the world of decision-making and explore consensus, navigate through dot voting, experience the collective wisdom of consent, and learn about systemic consensing and more. The underlying aspects of how decisions can be made are important. But the practical application of the methods, experiencing and feeling the differences as an individual and group, will be a game-changer for you.

After simulating various approaches, you’ll step back and reflect as a group. What worked? What didn’t? Why? Together, you will discuss the pros, cons, and implications of each method and debate which approach fits best in different scenarios. This will give you a toolkit to experiment with back in your professional setting.
